RADIO AND TELEVISION JOURNALISM

Abstract

A good journalist is a critical thinker and a rigorous investigator. Finding and researching news, identifying the characteristics of a good story and telling that story accurately and fairly are fundamental skills for a journalist. The Journalism concentration is a third-year option of Media and Communication Sciences Bachelor program and focuses on news gathering, writing and reporting for video, audio and TV platforms and presenting those reports to a diverse public. You will report on real social issues in an authentic environment that reflects the processes and expectations of the media industry, and this diverse skill set will support job opportunities in both traditional areas and in the new and emerging ways of gathering news and disseminating it. Also, learning the skills of writing for radio and television is something that a student must learn at the bachelor’s degree in media and communication sciences.
