dc.description.abstract	his study assesses the facilities and systems for managing household and similar waste in the Wilaya of Djelfa, with a particular focus on the Technical Landfill Center (CET) of the municipality of Djelfa. In light of rapid urban expansion and demographic growth, it examines the efficiency of existing infrastructures (CETs, waste stations, sorting centers, controlled landfills), in relation to the region’s geographical and demographic characteristics. The research adopts a descriptive and analytical approach, supported by field data. Findings highlight spatial disparities, technical and institutional shortcomings, and limited performance of secondary facilities, alongside the widespread presence of uncontrolled dumps. A detailed case study of Djelfa’s CET illustrates its operational strengths and constraints. The study recommends strengthening local governance, improving infrastructure, and modernizing waste management practices through a sustainable, long-term vision	en_EN

Résumé : Cette étude évalue les installations et dispositifs de gestion des déchets ménagers et assimilés dans la wilaya de Djelfa, en se concentrant sur le Centre d’Enfouissement Technique (CET) de la commune de Djelfa. Dans un contexte de croissance démographique et d’urbanisation rapide, elle analyse l’efficacité des structures existantes (CET, déchèteries, centres de tri, décharges contrôlées), en lien avec les caractéristiques géographiques et humaines du territoire. La démarche adoptée repose sur une méthode descriptive et analytique appuyée par des données de terrain. Les résultats révèlent des disparités spatiales, des limites techniques et organisationnelles, ainsi que la faible performance des installations secondaires face à la prolifération des décharges sauvages. Une étude de cas approfondie du CET de Djelfa met en évidence ses atouts et ses contraintes. L’étude recommande de renforcer la gouvernance locale, d’améliorer les infrastructures et de moderniser les pratiques de gestion des déchets dans une perspective durable.
