Abstract

This thesis explores the transformative impact of integrating digital twin and AI technologies within the framework of Industry 4.0. In the realm of Industry 4.0, the integration of Digital Twin (DT) technology emerges as a pivotal challenge aimed at bolstering manufacturing processes and efficiency. The fusion of DT with AI presents a substantial advantage in refining processes in real-time. Industries are actively delving into these advancements to keep abreast of the swiftly evolving technological landscape, leveraging virtual representations for streamlined real-time supervision and management. This study proposes a fresh approach hinged upon DT technology for the surveillance, enhancement, and quality control of manufacturing processes, employing Deep Learning (DL). The suggested methodology entails fashioning a digital counterpart of the physical system and harnessing DL models for quality control endeavors. This strategy enhances automation and productivity while upholding stringent standards of quality assurance within factory settings. DL is integrated into the DT framework to gather data from the physical system and make predictions about product quality. The efficacy of this approach is exemplified through the examination of an experimental industrial prototype. The results obtained are notably compelling, showcasing heightened predictive accuracy in evaluating product quality and swift resolution of real-time issues. Overall, these findings underscore the profound and intriguing impact of DT technology coupled with DL on manufacturing processes within the ambit of Industry 4.0

Cette thèse explore l’impact transformateur de l’intégration des technologies de jumeau numérique et d’intelligence artificielle dans le cadre de l’industrie 4.0, dans le domaine de l’industrie 4.0, l’intégration de la technologie Digital Twin (DT) apparait comme un défi crucial visant à renforcer les processus de fabrication et l’efficacité. La fusion de la DT avec l’IA présente un avantage substantiel pour affiner les processus en temps réel. Les industries s’intéressent activement à ces avancées pour se tenir au courant de l’évolution rapide du paysage technologique, en tirant parti des représentations virtuelles pour rationaliser la supervision et la gestion en temps réel. Cette étude propose une nouvelle approche articulée sur la technologie DT pour la surveillance, l'amélioration et le contrôle qualité des processus de fabrication, en utilisant le Deep Learning (DL). La méthodologie suggérée implique la création d'une contrepartie numérique du système physique et l'exploitation de modèles DL pour les efforts de contrôle qualité. Cette stratégie améliore l'automatisation et la productivité tout en respectant des normes strictes d'assurance qualité au sein des usines. DL est intégré au cadre de DT pour collecter des données du système physique et faire des prédictions sur la qualité des produits. L'efficacité de cette approche est illustrée par l'examen d'un prototype industriel expérimental. Les résultats obtenus sont particulièrement convaincants, démontrant une précision prédictive accrue dans l'évaluation de la qualité des produits et une résolution rapide des problèmes en temps réel. Dans l’ensemble, ces résultats soulignent l’impact profond et intrigant de la technologie DT associée à la DL sur les processus de fabrication dans le cadre de l’Industrie 4.0
