Abstract

الملخص: تتناول هذه الدراسة مؤسسة الوقف في الغرب الإسلامي خلال العهدين الموحديوالزياني، مبرزةً أصولها الشرعية وتطورها التاريخي ووظائفها الحضارية. وقد بينت أن الأوقاف أسهمت في دعم المؤسسات الدينية والعلمية والاجتماعية، من خلال تمويل المساجد والمدارس والكتاتيب ومختلف أعمال البر. كما كشفت الدراسة عن اهتمام سلاطين الموحدين والزيانيين بتنظيم الأوقاف والإشراف عليها وضمان استمرارية مواردها. وأسهمت هذه المؤسسة في تحقيق التكافل الاجتماعي وتنشيط الحياة الاقتصادية والثقافية. وتخلص الدراسة إلى أن الوقف كان أحد الركائز الأساسية في ازدهار الحضارة الإسلامية بالمغرب الإسلامي خلال العهدين المدروسين. Abstract: This study examines the institution of waqf (Islamic endowment) in the Islamic Maghreb during the Almohad and Zayyanid periods. It highlights its legal foundations, historical development, and civilizational role in society. The research shows that endowments played a vital role in financing mosques, schools, Quranic institutions, and various charitable activities. It also demonstrates the efforts of Almohad and Zayyanid rulers to organize and supervise waqf properties and ensure their sustainability. Furthermore, waqf contributed to social solidarity and supported economic, educational, and cultural development. The study concludes that the waqf institution was a fundamental pillar of prosperity and urban development in the Islamic Maghreb during both periods.
