الملخص
تركز الدراسة على دور العقيد لطفي كقائد بارز في الثورة الجزائرية، حيث قاد الولاية الخامسة بين عامي 1957 و1961، وهي إحدى أكبر الولايات العسكرية في الثورة، وتميز بقيادته العسكرية والسياسية التي عززت من كفاءة المقاومة ضد الاستعمار الفرنسي، تناولت الدراسة نشأته، تكوينه الثقافي والعسكري، وتدرجه في المناصب حتى أصبح عقيدًا، بالإضافة إلى المعارك التي قادها بنجاح والتي ساهمت في تعزيز قوة جيش التحرير الوطني في المنطقة.
كما تستعرض الدراسة مواقف العقيد لطفي تجاه الولاية السادسة، حيث حاول تحقيق التنسيق والتكامل العسكري والسياسي بين الولايتين رغم وجود تحديات تنظيمية وصراعات داخلية، وذلك بهدف توحيد الجهود الثورية وزيادة فعاليتها، كما تشير إلى الصعوبات التي واجهها في هذا المسعى، وكيف أن جهوده ساعدت في تحسين الأداء الميداني والقيادي، مما ترك أثرًا إيجابيًا في مسار الثورة حتى استشهاده في معركة بشار عام 1960.

Summary
The thesis focuses on the role of Colonel Lotfi as a prominent leader in the Algerian revolution, where he commanded the Fifth Wilaya between 1957 and 1961, one of the largest military regions in the revolution. His military and political leadership significantly enhanced the effectiveness of the resistance against French colonialism. The study covers his upbringing, cultural and military formation, and his progression through ranks until he became a colonel, in addition to the battles he successfully led that contributed to strengthening the National Liberation Army’s power in the region.
The thesis also examines Colonel Lotfi’s positions toward the Sixth Wilaya, highlighting his efforts to achieve military and political coordination and integration between the two Wilayas despite organizational challenges and internal conflicts. This aimed at unifying revolutionary efforts and increasing their effectiveness. It also addresses the difficulties he faced in this endeavor and how his efforts improved operational and leadership performance, leaving a positive impact on the course of the revolution until his martyrdom in the Battle of Bechar in 1960.
