يعتبر الفكر الركيزة الاساسية التي تسير الشعوب وقد عان الفكر العربي الحديث و المعاصر من جملة من المشاكل التي جعلته يتأخر حضاريا والتي من بينها الاستعمار الذي خلف دمارا شاملا في الدول العربية في جميع مجالات الحياة الانسانية في الاقتصاد والسياسة والاجتماع و خاصة الجانب الثقافي اي الفكري مما جعل مفكري العصر الحديث والمعاصر يحاولون النهوض بالوطن العربي محاولين بذلك الحاق بالدول الحضارية المتطورة فكان هدفهم الاساسي هو النهوض الذهنية العربية اولا للوصول الى نهضة حضارية عربية معتبرين الفكر هو محور وجزء رئيسي للنهوض باي مجتمع كان.

Thought is considered the basic pillar that guides nations, and modern and contemporary Arab thought has suffered from a number of problems that have caused it to fall behind in civilization, including colonialism, which left behind widespread destruction in Arab countries in all areas of human life in the economy, politics, society, and especially the cultural, i.e. intellectual, aspect. This has made modern and contemporary thinkers try to revive the Arab nation, attempting to catch up with the developed civilized countries. Their main goal was to revive the Arab mentality first in order to reach an Arab civilizational renaissance, considering thought to be the axis and a major part of the advancement of any society.
