النشاط الإصلاحي للشيخ محمد خير الدين ودوره في الحركة الوطنية الجزائرية (1902-1954م)

Abstract

Résumé : Le cheikh Mohammed Kheireddine est considéré comme l’une des figures réformistes les plus marquantes ayant contribué au service de la société algérienne durant la période coloniale française, à travers son activité au sein de l’Association des Oulémas Musulmans Algériens et ses efforts dans le domaine de la réforme religieuse et éducative. Il a œuvré à la diffusion de l’enseignement arabo-islamique, à l’éveil de la conscience religieuse et nationale, ainsi qu’à la lutte contre l’ignorance, afin de préserver les fondements de l’identité nationale algérienne. Il a également occupé plusieurs fonctions au sein du mouvement réformiste et de certaines instances nationales, ce qui lui a permis d’élargir son activité et de renforcer sa présence au service des causes du peuple algérien. Par ailleurs, il a joué un rôle important dans le soutien du mouvement national algérien, à travers son appui aux causes nationales, son appel à l’unité entre les différents courants, ainsi que sa contribution au développement de la conscience nationale et à la résistance contre le colonialisme sur les plans intellectuel et culturel. Abstract: Sheikh Mohammed Kheireddineisconsidered one of the prominentreformist figures whocontributed to serving Algerian society during the French colonial periodthroughhisactivitieswithin the Association of Algerian MuslimUlama and his efforts in the field of religious and educationalreform. He worked to spread Arab-Islamiceducation, promotereligious and national awareness, and combat ignorance in order to preserve the foundations of Algerian national identity. He alsoheldseveral positions within the reformistmovement and some national organizations, whichenabledhim to expandhisactivities and strengthenhisrole in serving the causes of the Algerian people. In addition, heplayed an important role in supporting the Algerian national movementthroughhis support for national causes, his efforts to unifydifferentpoliticalcurrents, and his contribution to developing national consciousness and resistingcolonialismintellectually and culturally. This study relies on the historical-descriptive and analyticalapproaches, using a variety of sources and references, including the memoirs of Sheikh Mohammed Kheireddine, Al-Bassaer and Al-Manar newspapers, as well as books and studiesrelated to the reformist and national movements in Algeria. The studyconcludesthat Sheikh Mohammed Kheireddinesuccessfullycombinedreformistactivitywith national struggle and contributed to defending Algerian identity and serving the causes of the Algerian people during the colonial period.
