Abstract
France committed nuclear crimes in Algeria during the 1960 to acquire nuclear weapons, finding the Algerian Sahara a fertile ground for atmospheric nuclear detonations in Reggane and underground tests in In Ekker, completely disregarding human health and the environment. This study aims to shed light on the realities of French nuclear crimes in Algeria and their consequences, as well as the prominent domestic and international reactions towards them. To achieve this, the study adopts the descriptive-historical method to track the historical events and chronologically describe the aftermath of these crimes, alongside the analytical method to examine these historical realities and draw conclusions. Among the findings reached is that France's conduct of atmospheric nuclear explosions in Reggane and underground ones in In Ekker between 1960 and 1966 aimed at joining the global 'Nuclear Club.' These were not merely military-technical experiments, but rather nuclear crimes against humanity and the environment; their lingering effects continue to devastate the local population through cancerous diseases, congenital deformities, eye diseases, and environmental pollution. Regarding domestic and international reactions, the Provisional Government of the Algerian Republic (GPRA) rejected these nuclear explosions and classified them as heinous crimes. While Arab and some African nations opposed and condemned the French nuclear crimes in Algeria, Western countries allied with France supported this atrocious crime perpetrated at the expense of the Algerian people and their land, viewing it as an achievement for France.

قامت فرنسا بجرائم نووية في الجزائر خلال ستينيات القرن 20م من أجل امتلاك السلاح النووي، فوجدت آنذاك الصحراء الجزائرية فضاء خصبا لتفجيرات نووية سطحية في رقان، وباطنية في إن- إكر، دون مراعاة لصحة الإنسان والبيئة، وقد هدفت دراستنا إلى تسليط الضوء على وقائم الجرائم النووية الفرنسية في الجزائر وآثارها، وكذلك أهم ردود الأفعال الداخلية والخارجية حولها، كما اعتمدنا في بحثنا على المنهج التاريخي الوصفي وذلك لتتبع الأحداث والوقائع التاريخية حول الجرائم النووية الفرنسية في الجزائر والآثار الناجمة عنها ووصفها وصفا كرونولوجيا، والمنهج التحليلي لإبراز تلك الوقائع التاريخية وتحليلها بهدف الوصول إلى نتائج واستنتاجات، ومن النتائج المتوصل إليها أن قيام فرنسا خلال الفترة ما بين 1960 و1966 بالتفجيرات النووية السطحية في رقان والباطنية في إن- إكر كان بهدف دخول النادي النووي العالمي، فلم تكن تجارب تقنية عسكرية بل كانت جرائم نووية في حق الإنسان والبيئة، وآثارها مستمرة لا تزال تفتك بسكان المنطقة من خلال الأمراض السرطانية والتشوهات الخلقية وأمراض العيون والتلوث البيئي، وفيم يخص ردود الأفعال الداخلية والخارجية، فقد رفضت الحكومة المؤقتة الجزائرية التفجيرات النووية واعتبرتها جرائم بشعة، أما مواقف الدول العربية وبعض الدول الإفريقية فقد عارضت ونددت بالجرائم النووية الفرنسية في الجزائر، في حين أيدت الدول الغربية الحليفة لفرنسا الجريمة الشنعاء التي ارتكبتها فرنسا في الجزائر على حساب الشعب الجزائري وأرضه واعتبرتها إنجازا لفرنسا.
