يُعدّ الاحتلال الفرنسي للجزائر سنة 1830 حدثًا مفصليًا في تاريخ الجزائر الحديث، إذ مثّل بداية مرحلة استعمارية طويلة أثرت في مختلف الجوانب السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية. وتتناول هذه الدراسة الأوضاع العامة التي كانت سائدة في الجزائر قبيل الاحتلال، مع إبراز أهم أسبابه ودوافعه، إضافة إلى الآثار التي خلّفها على المجتمع الجزائري. كما تسعى إلى دراسة كتاب "الاحتلال الفرنسي للجزائر من خلال نصوص معاصرة" لمحمد الهادي الحسني، من خلال تحليل النصوص التي اعتمد عليها المؤلف وبيان أهميتها في فهم أحداث الاحتلال الفرنسي للجزائر.
The French occupation of Algeria in 1830 represents a major turning point in the country’s modern history, marking the beginning of a long colonial period that affected political, economic, social, and cultural aspects of Algerian society. This study examines the general conditions that prevailed in Algeria before the occupation, highlighting its main causes and motivations, as well as its effects on Algerian society. It also analyzes the book “The French Occupation of Algeria through Contemporary Texts” by Mohammed El-Hadi El-Hassani by studying the texts used by the author and showing their importance in understanding the events of the French occupation of Algeria.
