Summary in English. The sociology of masses is a branch of sociology that studies mass behavior, collective thinking, and the interactions of individuals in different situations. A mass refers to a large number of individuals who may be influenced by a common event, idea, or issue. A group is a collection of individuals connected by social relationships and shared goals or interests. Groups form through social interaction and continuous communication between individuals. They can be primary groups, such as families and friends, or secondary groups, such as institutions and associations. Group formation involves several stages, beginning with acquaintance and interaction, followed by the organization of relationships and the definition of roles, and finally cooperation to achieve common goals. Masses and groups are influenced by various factors, including leadership, public opinion, social values, the media, and communication. Mass media, such as television, the internet, and social networking sites, play an important role in spreading ideas, directing public attention, and shaping attitudes. Individuals can also influence the behavior of others within a group, especially when they have leadership or authority. This course is important because it helps explain individual behavior within groups, understand how groups form and influence society, and identify the role of communication in shaping public opinion and collective behavior.
