Abstract:
This academic coursebook, prepared by Dr. Latreche Mebarka Amat Allah (University of Djelfa, Algeria), serves as an instructional and practical manual for the module "Writing and Presenting Business Plans in English". Primarily tailored for first-year Master's students specializing in Banking and Insurance Finance (Field of Economic, Commercial, and Management Sciences), as well as aspiring entrepreneurs and researchers in venture creation, the manual aims to equip learners with the theoretical foundations and applied methodologies needed to transform conceptual entrepreneurial ideas into viable, scalable, and sustainable ventures.
Across its structured chapters, the manual details the comprehensive formulation of a business plan, highlighting its dual role as an internal operational roadmap and a persuasive strategic instrument for securing capital from lenders and investors. Key thematic areas encompass distinguishing raw ideas from validated market opportunities, executing systematic market and competitive analyses, and deploying the marketing mix (7Ps) along with the STP positioning framework. Furthermore, it elaborates on operational workflows, human resource organization, financial modeling, cash flow forecasting, and breakeven assessments, with an emphasis on bank lending criteria and the "Five C's of Credit". The work concludes with practical business plan templates, an empirical case study of a bakery venture, and structured guidance for delivering professional pitch presentations in English.
