In recent years, the use of geosynthetic materials (geotextile, geogrid and geomembranes ...)
Appears very important in the works of the civil engineering and in particular in geotechnique.le
present work is interested in a numerical modeling of the behavior of the composite material
ballast surrounded by geosynthetic.The study is based on series of triaxial tests realized by the
method of the finite differences by using the code FLAC3D version 3.10 (Itasca.2006), with the
use of the model of behavior elastic_parfaitement plastic with the criterion d Mohr_coulomb flow
for ballast material, on the other hand to model the Geosynthetic element by a perfectly elastic
behavior without any limitation of the internal tension. The numerical results of this study also
indicate that the friction angle, the modulus of elasticity, and the modulus of geosynthetic
rigidity, had threshold values for increasing the cohesion of composite material. The results of
this research are presented in the form of graphs, which made it possible to identify constructive
recommendations for the realization of the reinforced works by ballasted columns surrounded by
geosynthetic.

Durant ces dernières années, l’utilisation des matériaux géosynthétique (géotextile, géogrille et
géomembranes …) Apparait très important dans les travaux des génie civil et en particulier en
géotechnique.le présent travail s’intéresse à une modélisation numérique du comportement du
matériau composite ballast entouré par géosynthétique.l’étude est basée sur des séries d’essais
triaxiaux réalisés par la méthode des différences finies en utilisant le code FLAC3D version 3.10
(Itasca.2006), avec l’utilisation du modèle de comportement élastique_parfaitement plastique
avec le critère d’écoulement de Mohr_coulomb pour le matériaux ballaste, par contre en
modéliser l’élément Géosynthétique par une comportement parfaitement élastique sans aucune
limitation de la tension interne. Les résultats numériques de cette étude indiquent également que
l’angle de frottement, le module d’élasticité et le module de rigidité de géosynthétique, avaient
des valeurs de seuil pour l’augmentation de la cohésion de matériau composite. Les résultats de
cette recherche, sont présentés sous forme de graphiques,ce qui a permis de dégager des
recommandation constructives quant à la réalisation des ouvrages renforcées par colonnes
ballastées entouré par de géosynthétique .
