تعد رياضة الكونغ فو ووشو على المستوى المحلي والدولي والعالمي ممارسة يحتاج فيها اللاعب مثل باقي الرياضات الأخرى إلى إعداد بدني ومهاري وخططي ونفسي وذهني، ونظرا" لما تتميز به رياضة الكونغ فو شو من الإيقاع السريع والانتقال المستمر بين الهجوم والدفاع طوال المنافسة، مما يتطلب من اللاعب أن يؤدي جميع المهارات الأساسية على مستوى متقارب ويستطيع أن يربط بين أداء المهارة ذهنيا ً وبدنيا ً بحيث يكون أكثر دقة في تقدير الوقت الذي تستغرقه الحركة أو المهارات ضمن الوقت الحقيقي لها, وترتبط رياضة الكونغ فو ووشو كمهارات بالعديد من المدركات التي يمكن تطويرها و تنميتها من خلال عملية التعلم وأهمها إدراك الإحساس بالمسافة إلى الجانب والإمام والخلف والإحساس بالأداة والخصم وغيرها من الإحساسات الأخرى وهنا تكمن أهمية البحث في التعرف على أثر ممارسة رياضة الكونغ فو ووشو على الإدراك الحس – حركي .
