هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على رؤية الحبيب بورقيبة لعناصر الهوية في تونس، وتحليل الكيفية التي سعى من خلالها إلى إعادة تشكيل الهوية الوطنية التونسية في إطار مشروع بناء الدولة الحديثة بعد الاستقلال. كما هدفت إلى إبراز أثر توجهاته الفكرية والسياسية في مجالات التعليم والثقافة والدين والمرأة، ومدى انعكاس تلك الإصلاحات على المجتمع التونسي، إضافة إلى دراسة العلاقة بين الأصالة والمعاصرة في الفكر البورقيبي، ومدى نجاح مشروعه في التوفيق بين الانتماء العربي الإسلامي ومتطلبات الحداثة، مع تسليط الضوء على ردود الفعل التي أثارتها سياساته الإصلاحية داخل المجتمع التونسي، سواء من قبل التيارات المؤيدة التي اعتبرت مشروعه خطوة نحو التحديث والتقدم، أو من قبل التيارات المحافظة التي رأت في بعض توجهاته مساسًا بالهوية العربية الإسلامية والقيم التقليدية للمجتمع.

Résumé
Tunisie, ainsi qu’à analyser la manière dont il a cherché à reconstruire l’identité nationale tunisienne dans le cadre du projet de construction de l’État moderne après l’indépendance. Elle vise également à mettre en évidence l’impact de ses orientations intellectuelles et politiques dans les domaines de l’éducation, de la culture, de la religion et de la condition féminine, ainsi que les répercussions de ces réformes sur la société tunisienne.
L’étude s’intéresse aussi à la relation entre authenticité et modernité dans la pensée bourguibienne, et au degré de réussite de son projet dans la conciliation entre l’appartenance arabo-islamique et les exigences de la modernité. Enfin, elle met en lumière les réactions suscitées par ses politiques réformatrices au sein de la société tunisienne, qu’il s’agisse des courants favorables qui considéraient son projet comme une étape vers la modernisation et le progrès, ou des courants conservateurs qui voyaient dans certaines de ses orientations une atteinte à l’identité arabo-islamique et aux valeurs traditionnelles de la société.

Abstract
This study aimed to identify Habib Bourguiba’s vision of the elements of identity in Tunisia and to analyze the way in which he sought to reshape Tunisian national identity within the framework of building the modern state after independence. It also aimed to highlight the impact of his intellectual and political orientations in the fields of education, culture, religion, and women’s issues, as well as the extent to which these reforms affected Tunisian society.
The study further examined the relationship between authenticity and modernity in Bourguiba’s thought, and the extent to which his project succeeded in reconciling Arab-Islamic identity with the requirements of modernity. In addition, it shed light on the reactions provoked by his reform policies within Tunisian society, whether from supporters who viewed his project as a step toward modernization and progress, or from conservative groups who considered some of his orientations as undermining the Arab-Islamic identity and the traditional values of society.
