Abstract

Study Summary In our study, which bears the title of “The Educational and Vocational Tasks of the Guidance Counselor in the Educational Institution Between the Theoretical Training and the Field”, we conducted a field study at the Guidance Centre in Djelfa, which aimed at finding out the conformity of what is theoretical in the work of the guidance counselor including the organizational texts, rules, and theoretical training in the work of the guidance counselor to reality. the objectives of the study were: • to what extent the tasks entrusted to the guidance consultant are adequately implemented on the ground. • to what extent the theoretical training of the guidance counselor matches what he performs in the field. • The amount of the physical and administrative difficulties that hinder the work of the guidance counselor in doing his duties as required. The research sample consisted of 97 counselors in Djelfa where a questionnaire was given to collect information from them. In addition to applying the descriptive analytical method in the study and the statistical tables, the results of the research proved the hypotheses to be highly valid.
